Shinkai generally has a very laid-back and placid personality; shown to be very caring. Shinkai enjoys food and is often seen carrying power bars around. She can come across as aloof, perhaps because not much is said but is actually very endearing and affectionate towards the team and wants to help if possible. When biking, Shinkai can be very quiet and doesn't stand out much. However, when facing off with other cyclists, she becomes a serious competitor.
